India Plans to Include Environmental Costs in GDP Data

What it means is that we will now quantify the environmental costs due to our production to calculate our GDP. This will be implemented by 2015. And this is a BIG innovation! Why? Because we are the FIRST country to do that in the whole world & we are innovating the most basic of economic institutions for the 21st century. We are making history! Not America, not UK, not China or Japan. India. Our government is doing it!
